Our February meeting included a tribute to long-time member Bob Mather. The program offered insight into Bob and his many contributions to the hobby. The celebration started with guest speakers (via Zoom) from the national American Topical Association: Myron Molnau, Vera Felts, and Dawn and John Hamman. A letter from Karen Weigt was read, sharing the contributions that Bob made to the Wisconsin Federation of Stamp Clubs.
Rob Henak shared insights into Bob’s role within the local ATA #5 chapter, and both MaryAnn Bowman and Frank Kos represented and spoke of Bob’s influence and role in the
Waukesha County Philatelic Society. The tributes were followed by Mark Maierle and the reading of the proclamation prepared for the occasion.
Bob spoke a few words of gratitude for the event. A celebration cake was enjoyed by all.
